That's me! I was born in Salem, OR in 1982. Eighteen years later, I attended Wake Forest University in North Carolina, expecting to major in economics or philosophy. In 2004 I graduated with an honors degree in fine art! Now I live and work in Portland, OR with my faithful dog, Sadie, who recently learned how to give high-fives.
My paintings are influenced by all sorts of things, but I am particularly interested in Buddhist teachings on notions of self and identity, and how these concepts relate to the ever-expanding possibilities regarding the creation of "digital identities" on the internet. More generally, I'm a wee bit obsessed with things that hang, flop, pile, drip. Orbs. Noodly things.
